Engineering Professionals- Much More Than Typical Home Inspectors
CLEVER is the only company in South Florida that uses Engineering Professionals- NOT Typical Inspectors- for your home inspection. Your new home has a story to tell- and Engineers are much more qualified than typical home inspectors to learn it. Other than a training course, home inspectors in Florida have no formal education requirements and are NOT REQUIRED to have experience in home inspections before doing them. Engineers meet all the qualifications of home inspectors AND have a 4+ rigorous technical degree, ARE Required to have industry experience and must follow a strict Florida code of ethics. This is why we say, don’t leave your inspection to chance- trust it to someone with an engineering background!
Four Point and Wind Mitigation Insurance Inspections
Important: Don’t delay your closing! Most people need both a four point inspection and a wind mitigation inspection prior to closing, especially if you’re seeking a mortgage for your new property. These must be completed by a licensed home inspector and you save big when you pair these with your home inspection. The four point inspection allows you to get a policy quote which is required by lenders before you can close on your property. The wind mitigation inspection helps make insurance affordable by giving you up to 88% off your wind insurance premiums.
Save yourself from costly repairs – ALWAYS get a termite inspection prior to purchase! Some people don’t think about termites in Florida but on average 20%+ of Florida homes have termites. That number is often higher in South Florida. Termites are very good at hiding until the damage is done so have us find them early.

Thermal Imaging Inspection
Thermal imaging helps look for active leaks, electrical problems and insulation issues in areas that can’t be seen with the naked eye (i.e. behind walls, under floors, etc). These are the types of issues you’ll want to know about BEFORE you Buy!

Mold Inspection w/Air Sampling and Moisture Analysis
Mold is a common problem in Florida homes. Mold growth in homes is not always visible. This means mold can be in the air you’re breathing at the home even if you can’t see it growing! And, it only takes a small amount of mold in the air to begin to create health problems. Since air sampling with laboratory testing is the only way to know for sure if mold will be in the air you’re breathing, we collect multiple air samples at the home and have them analyzed by our trusted lab partners. The investigation doesn’t stop there! We also collect technical measurements and inspect for areas conducive to mold growth so you can avoid future problems. Mold issues can be costly to fix so you should know about them before purchase.
